a requirement for rebuilding one three-phase, generator voltage, SF6
power circuit breaker; one three-phase disconnect switch; and
furnishing one new three-phase ground switch for Hoover Dam Powerplant.
The original equipment was manufactured and furnished by GE-Hitachi
HVB, Inc. The rebuilt/new equipment must conform to factory
specifications established by the manufacturer of the original
equipment. The Government will furnish three separate SF6 power circuit
breaker interrupter chambers complete with all internal components and
one pneumatic closing valve for the power circuit breaker. The
resulting contractor shall furnish all other materials and equipment
necessary to reconstruct the equipment to the original factory
specifications. The original factory specifications would be obtained
through GE-Hitachi HVB, Inc. Sources who believe they have the
capability to perform the work shall respond by 3:00 p.m., PDT,

provide information outlining its capability to perform the work,
including but not limited to: (1) Knowledge of large generator power
circuit breakers and related equipment; (2) Capability and experience
in rebuilding large generator circuit breakers of other's design; (3)
Description of how any necessary parts, supplies, and equipment would
be furnished; and (4) Description of how the source would insure that
the completed equipment would meet factory specifications. In addition,
please specify business size in number of employees and average annual
