Micheal West (202) 268-3433 The United States Postal Service (USPS) is
seeking firms to enter into a contractual relationship for the
category management of its stationery and greeting card product lines.
The firm must have the capability to supply products to a minimum of
26,000 postal locations and the expertise and experience to manage all
aspects of research, brand management, product development, packaging,
marketing, and visual merchandising. It is estimated that 60% of the
effort will be devoted to a standard line of SKUs (similar SKUs with
different stamp designs), 20% to a seasonal line and 20% to a
promotional line. The design elements of the assortment line will be
focused around USPS stamp and corporated heritage images. All product
lines will be unique to the USPS. Further, in compliance with USPS
policy, all products must be produced in the United States or its
territories. USPS mailing services must be used as the courier for all
mailing and distribution requirements of the contractual relationship.
In addition, also in furtherance of the Postal Services support and
policies related to small business, some requirements will be reserved
for their participation. Interested firms should provide a statement
