SP -- PHILADELPHIA OFFICE OF GSA, PUBLIC BUILDING SERVICES, TO USE ELECTRONIC POSTING Effective October 1, 1998, the Public Building Service of the Mid Atlantic Region of GSA will use the Electronic Posting System (EPS) for the issuing of synopses and solicitations in accordance with FAR Part 5 or GSAR Part 505. The Mid Atlantic Region includes GSA offices located in the States of Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, southern New Jersey and the Commonwealths of Pennsylvania and Virginia. The EPS is a World Wide Web based application that provides vendors access to agency business opportunities and allows them to register to receive e-mail notification of opportunities in their areas of interest. EPS will become GSA_s primary vehicle for disseminating written solicitations in accordance with FAR 2.101. GSA intends that EPS will substitute for, not supplement, paper copies of pre-invitation notices and solicitations. The decision to issue paper copies of a solicitation will be the decision of GSA and will be determined in accordance with regional and agency regulations.
