THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTE THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation No. IAP 843,190-05 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federwal Adquisition Circular 97-04. Item #1, 10 LGTH. wire, diamond, high tensile strength treated alloy carrier wire, with diamond impregnated beads and vulcanized rubber coating or injected plastic spacers placed alternately. Wire sections assembled by thread or staight copper sleeves. Shall be compatible with DIAMANT BOART-TARGET, hydraulic power pack DA-26 and prof. cable saw SLA-800. Recommended for heavely reinforced concrete up to 5% steel, old concrete with hard aggregates, and occasionaly for abrasives materials. Wire, diamond, shall comply w/the following: carrier wire shall not be less than 5mm (0.20 IN) DIA. Abrasive shall be diamond or mfg. diamond as manufactured by GEN. ELECTRIC or equal. wire life shall shall not be less than 2.2 square meter of heavely reinforced concrete cut per linear meter of wire. Length of the wire shall be a manufactures atd. length of 25 meters. The diameter of the beads shall be 10 mm min. and 12 mm max. and the number of beads shall be 40 per meter. The diamond wire must be capable of sustaining a variable cutting speed range of at least 0.0 to 2.0 square meter per hour. The impregnated diamond wire must require no more than 32 to 44 liter/min. of cooling fluid flow rate to comply with required life and cutting speed. The impregnated diamond wire must require no more than 35 to 40 hp as a min. The wire assembly must be easy to repair on the job site by the use of hand portable repair tool kit.
