B -- LABORATORY ANALYSIS OF HUMAN BLOOD SPECIMENS SOL 63-M-APHIS-98 DUE 091898 POC Patricia Harris (612) 370-2128 B -- The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspections Service (APHIS), intends to acquire the service of laboratory analysis of human blood specimens submitted by the USDA. The laboratory analysis will be performed to support the employee health monitoring requirements of the APHIS Occupational Medical Monitoring Program. The contractor shall comply with the standards specified in the Department of Health and Human Services' Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA). Approximately 1,700 personnel participate in the APHIS Occupational Medical Monitoring Program. At least 17 different analyses may be required on any given blood sample. Contract period is for 1 year with the option to extend for an additional 4 years. This is an indefinite quantity requirements-type contract. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside.
