DUE 091898 POC Patricia Harris (612) 370-2128 B -- The USDA, Animal and
Plant Health Inspections Service (APHIS), intends to acquire the
service of laboratory analysis of human blood specimens submitted by
the USDA. The laboratory analysis will be performed to support the
employee health monitoring requirements of the APHIS Occupational
Medical Monitoring Program. The contractor shall comply with the
standards specified in the Department of Health and Human Services'
Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA).
Approximately 1,700 personnel participate in the APHIS Occupational
Medical Monitoring Program. At least 17 different analyses may be
required on any given blood sample. Contract period is for 1 year with
the option to extend for an additional 4 years. This is an indefinite
quantity requirements-type contract. This procurement is a 100% small
business set-aside. Solicitation to be released on or about September
18, 1998. For a copy of the solicitation, submit written or FAXED

370-2106. Telephone requests will not be accepted. All responsible
sources may submit an offer which will be considered . A with priority
given to firms on our established bidders list. Firms which do not
receive a copy of this solicitation will receive a Solicitation Mailing
List Application, Standard Form 129. Upon receipt of a completed
application, we will add your name to our bidders list for
consideration for a 1-year period after date of submission. A copy of
