The Social Security Administration (SSA) desires to centrally collect telephone system Management Information (MI) reports from sixty selected SSA Field Offices nationwide. The agency is seeking information on a MI system that remotely polls SSA Field Office telephone systems on a daily basis. The system shall then upload the MI reports to SSA's IBM mainframes in Baltimore, MD. SSA is looking for information on all the hardware, software, design, training, installations and services needed to implement this project. The majority of the sites for this pilot project currently have Executone IDS 108/228 and Fujitsu 9600VS telephone systems. SSA would expect the contractor to gather, sort, upload and design the following type of reports: line group utilization, line utilization, extension summary, system utilization, voice mail statistics, port statistics, automated attendant statistics, ACD statistics, and busy rate statistics. Detailed specifications of the reports and information required by SSA are available in electronic form by download at URL http://www.ssa.gov/oag/acq/toc.htm. SSA would like to obtain information from the telecommunications industry on how feasible it is to implement this type of central MI system. SSA is also seeking product availability, contractor interest, and cost information. Interested parties must respond to this notice in writing within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication. Please refer to AS28. This is a request for product information and not a solicitation. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, information will be used in SSA's assessment of capable sources.
