FISC San Diego is announcing its intent to issue a directed sole source procurement to CanAm Circuit Breakers Services Inc., Brampton, Ontario, under authority of FAR 6.302-1 for the following items. This is a synopsis/solicitation is prepared in accordance with FAR 13. A formal/separate written solicitation/RFQ will be issued 9/14/98, with quotes due by 3 p.m. (PDT) 9/18/98 . Solicitation number/RFQ N00244-98-Q-0405 applies. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. The standard industrial code is 3625 and the business size standard is 750 employees. This requirement is for a fixed priced contract for two (2) lines items as follows. Line Item 0001: Supply, install and test one (1) each 100H-3 4000 AMP, electrically operated drawout breaker identical to the P.T.O. and SSDG air circuit breaker with CHED 40-sensor and USDM 231R relay. Line Item 0002: Supply one (1) each 50HL-3 2000 AMP, electrically operated drawout breaker. This breaker is identical to the a) Emergency Switchboard Bus Tie 1SA and 1SB; b) Group Control Center A and C {vital}; 450 volts Bus 1SA Group Control Center Sta No. 3 & 4. This breaker will have 3/4x3 copper per phas and not 3/8x3. This breaker consists of CSD 20 sensor and USDM 231R relays. All items are to be delivered to: USNS Pecos, San Diego, CA.
