NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for One Each of a dSPACE Total Development Environment Package for a DS1003 Board (Campatible with Windows NT4.0, MATLAB 5.x,Simulink 2.x, and Real Time Workshop 2.x). One each of DSP Board Mflops, with no SRAM; Two each of a 1MW memory extension for DS1003 board; One each of a Multi-channel A/D Board, 32x16 bit, MUX, 2 ADCs, simultaneous S&H; One each of a High-Resolution D/A Board, 6 x 16 bit; One each Expansion Box (10 Slots), with ISA-bus interface; One each Connector Panel; One each Rack Mount for panels ; One each PHS Bus Cable with 5 connectors and terminators; One each TI C cross compiler/assembler/linger, PC (for floating -- -point DSP). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from dSpace, Inc. for a Total Development Environment Package for a dSpace 1003 Board. These items are proprietary products and no other alternative products are known to exist that are required for the operation of the NASA Active Twist Rotor Computer controller system. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
