The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with The Culver Group of Hampstead, Maryland 21074 to provide 45 bar code scanner kits consisting of the following Welch Allyn equipment: keyboard wedge with SSA encryption (part #22346), keyboard wedge y cable (part #42203978-01), hand held/hands free laser (part #5400/B-12), wand emulation cable (part #42204606-01), rubber protective boot (part SCANBOOT), and hands free stand (part ATSTAND3). The Culver Group is the only firm that can provide the equipment with SSA encryption. Any literature or information submitted in response to this notice must contain enough information to show that the offeror can meet SSA's requirement, including encryption. Respondents should refer to bar code kits. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided.
