73 -- DESIGN, CUSTOM-BUILD, DELIVER AND INSTALL SERVING EQUIPMENT FOR DINING FACILITY SOL DAKF57-98-Q-0272 DUE 091098 POC Contract Specialist Pam Engelhaupt 253-967-2151 ext 229 (Site Code DAKF57) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This annoucement constitutes the only solicitation. A written solicitation will not be issued. Quote number DAKF57-98-Q-0272 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotations. The quote document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect and prescribed by Federal Acquisition Circular 97-4. This procurement is 100 percent set aside for small business. The SIC Code is 2599 and the size standard is 500 employees. Quotes are requested to design, custom-build, deliver and install the following cafeteria/restaurant equipment at the dining facility at Fort Lewis, Washington: Clin 0001, 2 Each Custom-Built Silverware Holder on Wheels (to include drawings), equipped with 12 each 4-inch round bain-maries, dimensions: 24" wide, 24" long, 34" high at face and 40" high at back, with storage space and access door on the back side, constructed of high quality grade wood with formica based countertop laminate on all exterior surfaces to match existing decor. Clin 0002, 2 Each Custom-Built Cabinet (to include drawings), dimensions: 18'9" long and 46" wide with a 12" vinyl- coated tray slide extending from front of cabinet included in the 46" width, mounted on a 24" wide base, allowing for the back of the countertop to overhang the base by 8", with left end finished (viewed from front), space left for two lowraters and cereal dispensers, storage underneath with front accessible doors, constructed of high quality grade wood with formica based countertop laminate on all exterior surfaces to match existing decor. Clin 0003, 2 Each Custom-Built Cabinet (to include drawings), dimensions: 7'4" long and 46" wide with a 12" vinyl-coated tray slide extending from front of cabinet included in the 46" width, mounted on a 24" wide base, allowing for the back of the countertop to overhang the base by 8", with left end finished (viewed from front) and storage underneath with front accessible doors, constructed of high quality grade wood with formica based countertop laminate on all exterior surfaces to match existing decor. Clin 0004, 4 Each Custom-Built Cart Cover Facings for existing lowraters (carts) (to include drawings) with black steel kick extending from the bottom of existing lowraters by 4", cover dimensions: 1 3/4" wide, 20 1/2" long and 27 3/4" high, panels constructed of high quality wood, must match existing decor. Clin 0005, 2 Each Custom-Built Equipment Facing with Casters (to include drawings) and a 12" vinyl-coated tray slide extending from front of facing included in the 43 1/4" width, part of the 43 1/4" width will include the 31 1/4" return ends, dimensions: 43 1/4" wide, 96" long and 35" high, constructed of high quality grade wood with formica based countertop laminate on all exterior surfaces to match existing decor. Clin 0006, 2 Each Custom-Built Beverage Counters (to include drawings), dimensions: 23' long and 46" wide with a 12" vinyl- coated tray slide extending from front of counter included in the 46" width, mounted on a 24" wide base, allowing for the back of the countertop to overhang the base by 8", with storage underneath with front accessible doors, constructed of high quality grade wood with formica based countertop laminate on all exterior surfaces to match existing decor. Clin 0007, 2 Each Custom-Built Condiment and Cup Holder Cart on Casters (to include drawings), dimensions: 24" wide, 32" long and 40" high at the back, with storage in the back with 2-door access, 3-section pan inset 14" wide on the left hand side of the cart (viewed from the front) and 2 cup holders inset 6" wide on the right hand side of the cart, center front will be cut out 12" wide and 20" long for stacking trays, constructed of high quality grade wood with formica based countertop laminate on all exterior surfaces to match existing decor. Clin 0008, 1 Each Die Wall Facing (to include drawings) to cover existing tile half-wall, dimensions: 112 linear feet and 28" high, constructed of 3/8" plywood with formica based countertop laminate to match existing decor, and to include mounting hardware. Clin 0009, Installation of Clins 0001-0008 using normal commercial installation methods. Delivery shall be FOB destination by 15 November 1998 to: 3d Brigade Consolidated Dining Facility, Bldg. 3757, Fort Lewis, WA. Provisions 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Paragraphs (b),(c),(f),(g) and (h) of FAR 52.212-1 are deleted. Wherever the words "offer", "proposal", "offerors", or similar terms are used in this solicitation, they shall be read to mean "quote", "quotation", "quoter", or similar corresponding term reflecting that this is a Request for Quotations, not a Request for Proposals. Quotes will be evaluated on the basis of lowest price and technical acceptability. Completed copies of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items shall be submitted with quotes. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and includes an addendum. Addendum to FAR 52.212-4 changes the third sentence of paragraph (i) to read: The Government shall make payment in accordance with the clause at DFARS 252.232-7009, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer, which is incorporated herein by reference. FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses within 52.212-5(b) are applicable to this acquisition: 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.222-41 and 52.222-42.
