E-MAIL: Glynda H. Meeks, glynda.meeks@msfc.nasa.gov. NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a requirement entitled "1998 Von Braun Exploration Forum." This requirement is being procured under the University Research Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) Program with the university community within the United States. The purpose of this effort shall be to support the planning and execution of MSFC's co-hosting role in the Forum. The effort will be conducted off-site from MSFC with a period of performance from effective date of award through November 13, 1998. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 8733 and 500, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 8-1-8-CL-00309 is on or about August 28, 1998 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about September 4, 1998. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
