procurement. Western-Pacific Region, has aprojected requirement to
provide support to its Project Management Office. Work includes, but is
not necessarily limited to the enhancement and supprot of an existing
Microsoft Windows NT Domain Network ("Network") to allow local and
remote access and appropriate privileges and resources utilizing
10/100base-T Ethernet topology. Transport protocol is TCP/IP and will
utilize the following Microsoft Windows NT TCP/IP services to assign
and resolve network addresses: Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, and
Windows Internet Naming Service. Contractor must be familiar with
Microsoft Exchange to support: SMTP, utilized in Internet Mail, X400,
VIM utilized with Lotus ccMail and Lotus Notes, and MAPI utilized with
Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Outlook. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) code is 7373. The estimated dollar range for this
procurement is between $75,000 to $125,000. The Delivery Period is 12
months. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the
project Scope of Work. This announcement is to identify firms who have
extensive experience with this type of work. Interested firms with the
respective capability to perform should submit a FAX TRANMITTAL TO
(310) 536-8550 (ADDRESSED TO THE CONTRACTING OFFICER, James L.
Travers), LETTER INDICATING INTEREST. FAX TRANSMITTAL MUST BE RECEIVED
NO LATER THAN THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS SEPTEMBER 20, 1998. The FAA will
accept the first six (6) requests received. A questionnaire will be
forwarded to those firms requesting information and will be utilized in
determining the firms most qualified to perform this project. A REQUEST
FOR OFFER (RFO) WILL BE ISSUED ONLY TO THOSE OFFERORS THAT HAVE BEEN
PRE-QUALIFIED FOR THIS PROCUREMENT. Criteria for award will be based on
(in descending order of important), technical knowledge, cost and past
experience. The FAA may make an award without communications or
negotiations; however, communication and/or negotiations may be
conducted withone ormore firms to determine the best value to the FAA.
