The Division of Safety, Occupational Safety and Health Branch of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to extend its present contract 263-94-D-0200 with American Pest Management for a period of 12 months. This contract provides for the development of a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management Program (IPMP) in animal care facilities and the implementation of integrated pest management services that meet AAALAC accreditation requirements. During this time, the NIH will continue with the recompetition action announced in the Commerce Business Daily, June 1,1998. The extension will be negotiated under citation 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 based upon the contractor's unique ability to provide the services during the period of preparation, readiness and support for the upcoming AAALAC certification audit to be held in 1999. Sources may submit in writing a capability statement which demonstrates that they can meet the Government's requirements. This capability statement must be received within45 days of this publication.
