The Operational Contracting Division, Services Branch, Hanscom AFB, MA intends to issue a request for quotation (RFQ) for the acquisition of services to provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supervision necessary to provide all electrical connections and associated work to systems furniture on the third floor of building 1305. The work will include the following: 1) The contractor shall provide electrical feeders to the system furniture. 2) Provide all electrical work to support the installation of one ceiling fan with wall switch. 3) There shall be no more than two workstations per circuit. Some workstations will require a dedicated feeder. The total amount of new circuits will be 75. 4) Each feeder shall have one hot, one neutral and equipment ground. Common neutral will not be allowed. 5) Remove 45 Kva dry type transformer and associated breaker, feeder and conduit. Transformers shall be returned to the government. 6) Provide new 75 Kva, dry type, 480/277-208/120 VAC transformer. Provide 110 Amp breaker in the existing 480/277 VAC panel, feeder and conduit to accommodate the transformer. 7) Provide new distribution panel in the electric room on the 3rd floor. The new panel shall be 150 Amp 120/208 VAC, 3 phase, 4 wires, 42-20 Amp circuit breakers. Provide feeders for the panel from the new transformer via fused disconnect switch with 150 Amp fuse. 8) Provide 30-20 amp circuit breakers to match the existing distribution panels. 9) All wiring shall be in conduits. If more than 3 current carrying conductors are installed in a conduit the conductors shall be sized considering the adjustment factors as specified in Article 310,NEC 96. 10) Power pole locations will be determined by the contractor at the site visit. Floor plans for the systems furniture will be provided at the site visit. 11) All work will be located at Hanscom AFB, MA. Period of performance will be 30 calendar days from notice to proceed. A site visit will be held on 3 Sep 98 at 10:00 AM, interested parties should meet at Bldg. 1305, 1st floor, atrium, Hanscom AFB, MA. This project is subject to availability of funds and estimated award is 14 Sep 1998. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this procurement is 1731; the small business size standard is $7.0M.
