This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The request for quotation incorporates provision and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05. Respondents are urged to contact Charles L. Williams -- Purchasing Agent, at (252) 335-6640. This is an unrestricted requirement for the procurement of the following: Clin 1: 2 each new Aircraft Ground Power Units (GPU) with the following salient characteristics: Trailer mounted diesel engine driven generator set, flightline-use towable, parking brake included, 90kVA, 72 kW, 3 phase, 4 wire, 115/200 volt Wye, 400 Hz, continuous single output. Voltage regulation + or -- 1% no load to full load. Frequency regulation + or -- 0.5% no load to full load, transient recovery to within + or -- 0.5% (2 Hz) within 2 seconds. GPU shall incorporate the following protections: overvoltage at 130 vac, undervoltage at 100 vac, overfrequency at 416 Hz, and underfrequency at 379 Hz. One each 28.5 and/or 112 vdc Transformer-Rectifier attached. Companies submitting information related to this requirement should provide brochures that give information about the company and include data regarding previous manufacturing of items requested.
