The Fleet and Industrial Supply Command, Norfolk Detachment, Washington DC (FISCNORDETWASH) has a requirement in support of the Naval Media Center, Naval Station Washington, Washington DC, for duplication, distribution and inventory control associated with the worldwide distribution of 30-minute weekly television programs entitled NAVY/MARINE CORPS NEWS. Included are accessorial services incidental to the distribution of the duplicates and maintenance of mailing list and videotape inventories. The nature of the work requires close liaison and quick response. Therefore, the contractor's facility must be located within a one (1) hour commute to the Naval Media Center by surface travel during normal weekday working hours. All of the duplication and distribution functions specified in the contract must be performed at this facility. Contractors located beyond this commuting time will not be considered. Letters of intent from offerors to establish a facility within the geographical location and commuting time will not be considered. This contract is a follow-on to N00600-95-D-0956. The anticipated weekly duplication and distribution is approximately 1,650 tapes. The contractor is required to provide new blank video cassettes in accordance with the solicitation specifications. The types of videotapes required include the following: 3/4 U-Matic (SMPTE) Type "E" Cassettes: 1/2" Beta Format (SMPTE) Type "H" Cassettes; and standard 8mm Video-8 Format Cassettes. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. SIC Code 7334 applies. The contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Type contract with one (1) base year and four (4) one-year options.
