(617)495-7445, FAX (617)495-7485, email: rcerbone@cfa.harvard.edu The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory intends to award a sole source purchase order to ARRA, Inc., for: 12 ea. 5-10 GHz Voltage Controlled Variable Attenuators, P/N: 5-6752-60D and 20 ea. 4-8 GHz Voltage Controlled Variable Attenuators, P/N: 5752-60D. After researching and testing various products, it was determined that the ARRA attenuators best meet the needs of the Submillimeter Array Project. The above named attenuators have been incorporated into the Submillimeter Array design. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered. A determination by SAO not to compete this proposed purchase order, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of SAO. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
