The Office of Law Enforcement technology Commercialization (OLETC) was established by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) to assist in the commercialization and utilization of U.S. technology and innovation for use by the Law Enforcement and Corrections (LEC) community. OLETC is a non-profit organization, located on the campus of Wheeling Jesuit University. OLETC is currently assisting to commercialize a product called FALCON. FALCON has been developed by the University of North Carolina and the city of Charlotte, North Carolina, through an NIJ grant. FALCON is an advanced computer software system that provides a unique data search and alert capabilities. FALCON allows all levels of a police department to interface with it, including the individual patrol officer. The project has matured to an advanced stage with a Beta test bed in place. OLETC is seeking a commercialization partner that has the ability to manufacture, distribute, and support the software deployment to the law enforcement marketplace.
