Any qualified 8(a) offeror may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Government. The Division of AIDS (DAIDS), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), NIH, in order to facilitate its research mission is required to support a variety of meeting and conferences to provide opportunities for researchers and administrators to plan the direction of future research in HIV/AIDS. The purpose of this RFP is to seek responsible offers for support of meeting and conference activities, and a variety of similar or associated tasks such as preparation and distribution of advance materials for conference attendees, provide minutes/ transcription services for scientific meetings and provide DAIDS electronic staff directories. The Contractor must either be located near the NIH community (Bethesda/Rockville, Maryland) or provide a plan detailing how these services which require close daily interaction with DAIDS can be provided from a distant location. It is anticipated that one (1) level-of-effort, cost-reimbursement type contract will be awarded for a period of five (5) years.
