This survey includes information on assessment-related programs and practices which will aid NCES' work with constituency groups representing state and local school districts in planning and implementing the State assessment. NCES, in its efforts to improve the State National Assessment Educational Program (NAEP), needs information on state testing program and accountability practices. This information is essential in NCES' initial planning for NAEP 2000 state assessment activities and in analysis of State NAEP assessment results. The period of performance shall be from September 17, 1998 through June 30, 1999.
