This is a notice issued by Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC), management and operating contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy at the Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, South Carolina. The purpose of this notice is to determine interest in licensing the Sampling System Controller, Version 3, or SSC3. The SSC3 is a programmable logic controller capable of managing complex air sampling systems of the user's design. It provides flow control and information handling for managing samples and data collected by self-contained instruments. Prototyped and in use at the Savannah River Site, the device has the ability to operate up to four independent pump and flow systems simultaneously and features the ability to integrate data input from three separate instrumentation channels. The device may be configured for continuous emission sampling in support of process or Clean Air Act compliance monitoring. The instrument can be used for ambient and process air applications and provides real time sample acquisition status information. The SSC3 has been field tested and available support documentation includes comprehensive field and technical manuals. Interested parties will be provided with a technical brief and instructions on applying for a license to this technology. A typical license agreement will contain license fees and running royalties.
