Solicitation Number DCA300-98-R-0001 is amended to change the contract period, description, proposal scheduled issue date and the proposal due date. The proposal is hereby revised as follows: Provide international long distance service for Hawaii Information Transfer System (HITS) subscribers for the contract period of 1 February 1999 through 31 January 2000. This is an interim contract to transition to the International Direct Distance Dialing (ID3) contract. Services shall include international long distance service, full operator services, traffic reports, and rated billing detail for bill preparation. The prospective contractor shall be responsible for coordinating with AT&T, the HITS Contractor, for any requirements to interface the HITS network with their commercial long distance network. The Government intends to award a negotiated requirements contract with firm-fixed priced CLINS for international long distance minutes/services. Estimated contract period requirement is 828,000 call minutes. A Request for Proposal (RFP) is scheduled to be issued on or about 8 September 1998. Proposals will be due on 7 October 1998. All interested firms able to meet this requirement are invited to request copies of the solicitation.
