This is a contemplated sole source to Automated Prescription Systems Inc., P.O. Box 4118, Pineville, LA 71361-4118. The solicitation number for this announcement is F08651-99-Q-0041. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, facilities, equipment, tools, materials, parts and transportation as necessary to provide for installation, rental and perpetual maintenance of Baker 103 computerized bulk pill dispensing systems. The systems shall include drug cells, super cells, computer interfaces, cassette counters, and cassettes. The systems must be compatibly computer-interfaced with the Composite Health Care System (CHCS). Digital Equipment Corp manufactured the CHCS system. ABLE Computer Company manufactured the terminal server for interface with the Baker Cells. Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) engineered the CHCS software system. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
