scrump@desc.dla.mil. The Defense Engergy Support Center (DESC) issues
this Pre-Invitation Notice (PIN) SPO600-97-T-0610 to develop a source
list for a potential requirement for storage services in Guam. Issuance
of the survey does not obligate DESC to award any future contracts
relating to this PIN. If companies can meet the following requirement
for storage services they should submit information relationg price per
barrels, storage capacity and availability. Contractors should be able
to meet the requirement for four vessels which will consume between
26,000 -- 33,000 metric tons per year of IFO-180. The commmercial
storage facilities must, as a minimum, have the following capabilities:
(a) Requirement Period: As soon as possible (b) Tankage: Annual
requirement is 104,000 bbls -- 124,000 bbls. Storage of 50 MBBLS would
be acceptable so we would have to resupply three times per year. (c)
Grade of Service: Fuel Oil, Intermediate IFO-180. (d) Receipt
Capability: Tanker. (e) Shipping Capability: Issuing to vessels
pierside or via barge. (f) Type of Vessels Consuming IFO-180: Navy dry
cargo vessels. (g) Other special requirements: A dedicated piping
system for IFO-180 and a system in place to deliver the product to the
