Hickman, Contracting Officer, (507) 272-4075 Furnish a Static Excitation System to replace Panama Canal Commission Rotating Exciter System on Generator No. 4 at Miraflores Power Plant in accordance with technical specifications and drawings (Sketch SK-GT4). The system delivered shall be completed, including excitation transformer (if it is necessary) and auxiliary equipment as specified herein; shall be fully operational and shall be tested at the manufacturer's plant prior to shipment. The static excitation system shall be designed for tropical service. It shall be capable of continuous operation in ambient air temperatures of 104 degrees fahrenheit (40 degrees centigrade). Quantity: 1 each. In addition, provide the services of a field engineer to assist personnel during commissioning assistance when placing the Static Excitation System in service and training of PCC personnel in operation and maintenance in the Republic of Panama for a total of six days.
