The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a Sole Source basis to VXI Technology, 97912 Mitchell Drive, Irvine, CA 92614, for the following Serial Interface Card and related items: 8 each VMIP Base Unit, P/N VM9000; 8 each Four-Channel High Performance Serial I/F, P/N VM6068; and 4 MB RAM Upgrade per Unit for VM6068, Option 1. This action is being processed on a Sole Source basis due to the fact that the VM6068 high performance serial interface, designed and manufactured by VXI Technology, is the only interface compatible with NUWC's Mk 562 Mod 3 VXI Test Executive. Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Part 13 will be used for this requirement. The solicitation will be issued 10 days after publication in the CBD and the response time will be seven days after the solicitation is issued. Delivery is required 21 weeks after award of contract.
