The majority of services will be to support a variety of wildlife surveys. Some possilbe capture projects and wildlife management projects such as weed spraying, prepositioning of fuel, etc., may also be done. The Government intends to make multiple on call, no guarantee awards for a variety of helicopter types in order to assure Contractor availability and consideration for aircraft suitable for the project to be done. The types of aircraft that would be considered suitable would be models such as Bell 47G3B1, Hiller UH12E Series, Bell 47 Soloy, Hiller Soloy, etc. and for capture projects Bell 206BIII and MD Hughes 500D/Es. Aircraft of greater characteristics are not desired due to cost. The term of the contract(s) will be one year with options to renew for 2 additional years. Contractors will be required to be certificated under 14 CFR Part 135, Air Taxi Operators and Commercial Operators, Part 133, Rotocraft external Load Operations and Part 137, Agricultural Aircraft Operations for application of chemicals for weed spraying. In order to receive strong consideration for award, Contractor's must have a base of operations within the State of Idaho or within close proximity of the State of Idaho in order that ferry costs are kept to a minimum.
