The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-95-G-0208 with Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems (LMAS) in Marietta, Georgia, to procure 37 Auxiliary Switch Matrix (ASM) units to support the FY 99 installation of 37 Global Positioning Systems (GPSs). The ASM was designed in conjunction with the P-3C aircraft Communications Improvement Program (CIP) and is a common box also required for the GPS program. LMAS is the only known source providing this unit for the P-3C aircraft GPS installation requirement. The Administrative Contracting Officer will conduct negotiations with LMAS for this effort.
