61 -- BATTERIES POC Jackie Shewmaker, 816-426-7129, ext. 221 The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to purchase Type 1, 2 and 3 UPS batteries for the National Weather Service (NWS). The batteries shall be delivered (inside delivery required) to twelve (12) different NWS offices using a varied delivery schedule from approximately January 1, 1999 thru April 30, 1999. The batteries shall equal or exceed the Dynasty UPS12-140 for type 1, Dynasty UPS12-270 for type 2, and Dynasty UPS12-310 for type 3. Forty Type 1 batteries will be ordered, thirty-two Type 2 batteries and twenty Type 3 batteries. Firms interested in receiving a Request for Quotation (RFQ) shall submit a request in writing to the attention of Jackie Shewmaker at the address stated above. Fax requests will be accepted at 816-426-5067. Requests must be received within ten (10) days of publication of this announcement. The purchase will be made under the guidelines of FAR, part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Request for Quotation will be available on or about September 8, 1998.
