This is a combined synopsis-/-solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and THERE WILL BE NO WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION ISSUED. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotation is N00244-98-T-0024. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis, under Standard Industrial Code 3821with a small business standard of 500 employees. FISC San Diego has a requirement for the following items: ITEM 0001 is one (1) each Optical Spectrum Analyzer. MFG. Anritsu Wiltron model number MS9710B (or equivalent). Equipment must have wavelength range of 600-1750 nm. Must have accuracy of ; +/- 0.2 nm for 1530-1570 nm, +/- 0.3 nm for 600-1750 nm, and +/- 0.05 nm for 1530-1570 nm resolution. Stability must be +/- 5 pm (smoothing: 11 points, 1 minute at half -- width center wavelength). Must have linearity of +/- 20 pm (1530-1570 nm). Resolution must be 0.07, 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, and 1 nm. ITEM 0002 is for one (1) each wavelength reference and SLD light source. MFG..Anritsu Wiltron model number Option 3 (or equivalent). ITEM 0003 is for one (1) each seventeen (17) inch video display. MFG. Anritsu Wiltron model number Option 06 (or equivalent). ITEM 0004 is for one (1) each white light source. MFG. Anritsu Wiltron model number Option 02 (or equivalent). ITEM 0005 is for one (1) each FC fiber optic connector. MFG. Anritsu Wiltron model number Option 37 (or equivalent). ITEM 0006 is for one (1) each ST fiber optic connector. MFG.
