The Federal Judiciary has a requirement for technologies that can facilitate and expedite courtroom proceedings and that may offer new alternative ways to cope with increasing workloads and expanding space requirements. As a result, the Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC) plans to establish contractual vehicles under which the Judiciary will have access to computer, telecommunications and audio/video technologies. The technologies currently utilized in Federal courts, and to be included under these contracts are video conferencing, evidence presentation/management, digital audio recording, real-time recording, and sound systems. These technologies will be utilized both in stand-alone applications, as well as in integrated systems comprised of multiple technologies. The planned contractual vehicles will encompass all of the necessary hardware and software components as well as associated installation, integration, training, warranty/maintenance and program management support required to install, operate and maintain these technologies. The objective of this procurement action is to award contracts to multiple contractors capable of providing and supporting the nationwide deployment and implementation of courtroom technologies throughout the Federal Judiciary. The proposed contract(s) will be awarded for a base year with four, one-year options. Written requests for the solicitation document should be received NLT 30 days from the date of this synopsis.
