B -- ECOLOGICAL UNIT INVENTORY SOL R6-16-99-02 DUE 110598 POC Contracting Section, 541-523-1209 This solicitationis to secure services for performing an ecological unit inventory for multi-forests. The inventory is an integrated, multi-resource inventory of soil, landform, vegetation and lithology, on all lands within the administrative boundary of the Malheur, Ochoco, Umatilla and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests. Also the collection of soil descriptions at selected Timber & Ecology Inventory Plots. The contract will be a minimum of 160,000 acres with 40,000 acres minimum on each forest to a maximum of 750,000 acres per year. The contract will be for a five year period.
