(202) 307-3223. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting a market
research in its efforts to determine the commercial availability of
servies to provide the development, implementation and evaluation of a
Novell Update & Advanced Administration training course for the
Central Office, Office of Information Systems. This training course
would be taught at the Management & Specialty Training Center in
Aurora, Colorado. Specifically, the contractor would be required to
provide a customized, hands-on course to include, but not be limited to
preparing lesson plans and course materials/student manuals for each
module identified by the Bureau of Prisons, preparing pre and post-test
and class evaluations, establish points of contacts for the Government
when emergency situations requiring immediate contractor decisions and
realighnment of staff occur, and to act as the liaison between the
Government and off-site Corporate resources. The contractor would be
required to provide certified Novell Administrator (Instructors) in
NetWare 4.x, with a minimum of 3 years administrative and user
experience. The contractor would be required to deliver manuals and
documentations to students during class and met with the Project
Manager on an as needed basis to discuss the course content, issues
and/or problems. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes
only and does NOT constitute a Request for Proposal. This notice is to
advise industry of an opportunity to sumit information specific to
this requirement to include but not be limited to (1) Whether their
product/service meets the needs of the Goverment (2) customary
practices regarding customizing, modifying, tayloring of services to
meet Government's needs and associated costs involved, (3) Customary
practices, including warranty and discounts, (4) requirements of any
laws and regulations unique to the service being offered, (5) cost
estimates of the service being offered, and (6) size and status of
potential offerors. Response to this market research should be
