bdean@peacecorps.gov. The Peace Corps anticipates a need over the next
year for qualified Personal Service Contractors (individuals, not
organizations or companies) to serve as Master Trainers/Technical
Trainers/Coordinators in various specialties (Health, Environmental,
Water Sanitation, Agriculture, Small Business Development, Youth at
Risk, Cross-Cultural Training, Community Development, Forestry,
Fisheries, Teacher Training, ESL, TEFL, etc..) at Peace Corps' Posts in
several countries of the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Africa,
Asia and the Pacific. Contracts are contingent upon requests from
requiring Peace Corps Post. Interested individuals should respond to
this notice as no further notice will be placed. Master
Trainers/Technical Trainers/Coordinators work closely with other
trainers/coordinators, language coordinators and language trainers.
Under the direction of the Training Director/Project Director, develops
training session designs and activities and coordinates training
resources. Coordinates schedules, training sessions and activities,
monitors effectiveness of training/trainee performance, prepares
evaluation reports for review by senior staff. Positions have specific
requirements in a detailed Statement of Work (SOW). Duties may include
development of training design and new training materials,
contacting/securing resource persons, completing a training manual,
preparing a budget, etc. Demonstrated competence in the relevant
specialty mandatory. Ability to communicate clearly, work within
existing organization and strict timelines. BS/BA in a relevant field
required, Master's preferred. Directly related training/design
experience required, region-specific experience and fluency in foreign
language(s) a plus. Housing and transportation provided for contractor
only, no dependents. Some personal hardship, lack of modern
conveniences should be expected. Contracts are short-term, generally
