THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF PROVIDING THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS TO PERFORM THE MODIFICATIONS FOR BUILDING 4747 FOR LARGE SCALE REPLICATED OPTICS PLATING FACILITY. THE WORK CONSISTS OF DEMOLITION AND RENOVATION WORK IN BUILDING 4747, PROVIDING BASIC UTILITIES AND PLATING TANKS FOR OPTICS PLATING. OPTION 1 CONSISTS OF PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF THE PLATING TANKS AND DEIONIZED WATER SYSTEM. ALL REQUEST FOR IFB PACKAGE MUST BE IN WRITING AND CONTAINING THE COMPLETE COMPANY NAME, ADDRESS, AND PHONE/FAX NUMBER. A CASHIERS CHECK IN THE AMOUNT OF $25.00, MADE PAYABLE TO "NASA CASHIER" MUST ACCOMPANY EACH REQUEST FOR IFB PACKAGE. THE AWARD OF THIS PROJECT IS CONTINGENT UPON THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. The order of magnitude for the procurement is BETWEEN $1,000,000 AND $5,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 335 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a totalsmall business set-aside. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small busines size standard for this procurement are 1541 and $17.0M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about SEPTEMBER 21, 1998 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about OCTOBER 27,1998. The provisions and clauses in the solicitation are those in effect through FAC 97 -- 07. The firm date for receipt of bids will be stated in the IFB. Drawings will be available from the PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT. All responsible qualified sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
