THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF PROVIDING THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS TO PERFORM THE MODIFICATIONS TO DEVELOPMENTAL PROCESS LABORATORY (BLDG 4711). WORK CONSISTS OF DEMOLITION AND REPLACEMENT OF MAINLY THE HVAC, LIGHTING, AND CEILINGS OF APPROXIMATELY 40,000 SQUARE FEET IN BUILDINGS 4711 AND 4714. NEW EQUIPMENT PLATFORMS WILL BE CONSTRUCTED FOR THE HVAC EQUIPMENT. OPTION 1 CONSISTS OF DEMOLITION AND REPLACEMENT OF HVAC, LIGHTING AND CEILING FOR THE REMAINING 30,000 SQUARE FEET OF BUILDING 4711 NOT COVERED UNDER THE BASE BID. ALL REQUEST FOR IFB PACKAGES MUST BE MADE IN WRITING, CONTAINING THE COMPLETE COMPANY NAME, ADDRESS, AND PHONE/FAX NUMBERS. ALL REQUEST FOR IFB PACKAGES MUST CONTAIN A CASHIERS CHECK IN THE AMOUNT OF $25.00, MADE PAYABLE TO "NASA CASHIER". AWARD OF THIS PROJECT IS CONTINGENT UPON THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. The order of magnitude for the procurement is BETWEEN $1,000,000 AND $5,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 360 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small busines size standard for this procurement are 1541 and $17.0M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about SEPTEMBER 21,1998 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about OCTOBER 29,1998. The provisions and clauses in the solicitation are those in effect through FAC 97 -- 07. The firm date for receipt of bids will be stated in the IFB.
