Estimated price range of the work is between $250,000 and $500,000. The first copy of the solicitation will be provided at no charge. Additional copies of the solicitation will be provided on receipt of $7.00 each, nonrefundable. The Presolicitation Notice is available as of 9-5-98. The work to be performed under this solicitation includes: The Government requires that the existing Assembly Building at the Grand Coulee Power Office in Grand Coulee, Washington, be resided and reroofed. The building is 355 feet long, 77 feet wide and 65 feet tall. It has a 2:1 pitched roof. The existing roofing is wood shingles and will be required to be removed and new 8" seamless rolled metal Dutch siding installed. The existing roofing and siding have been painted with lead based paint and lead abatement provisions will be required for working these items. Because of the age of the building and its significance to the original construction of Grand Coulee Dam, the building has been identified as being included on the register as an historical structure. Therefore, it is imperative that its original appearance be maintained as close as practical.
