41 -- AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING REPLACEMENT SOL M67861-98-Q-0083 DUE 091898 POC Ssgt Margaret R. Blunt (504)678-0348 DESC: This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M67861-98-Q-0083 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-10. The standard industrial code is 3585 and the business size standard is 500 employees. The Government contemplates awarding a firm-fixed price contract for the following : The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials and equipment necessary for accomplishing the disconnection and removal of the existing heaters in each end of the gym and dispose of in accordance with all local, state and federal waste handling requirements. (The existing heater located above the east hall must be disassembled and removed through a cut opening in the ceiling of the east hall.) Install four (4) gas fired heaters totaling 1 million BTU's heating capability. Install all necessary gas lines to each unit. Gas lines to be taken off of the existing lines located at each end of the building. Install new double wall vent piping for each heater up through roof. Install necessary control wiring and thermostats with steel covers for each heater. Remove and dispose of existing Air Handling Unit located in the Men's locker room and dispose of in accordance with all local, state and federal waste handling requirements. Existing ductwork to remain. Install new 2 ton heating/air conditioning/air handling using existing ductwork. Connect electrical power and install appropriate control wiring to new equipment. Connect condensate drain from air handling unit pan to existing condensate drain piping in rest room area. Site is the Marine Corps Reserve Center, 3114 Jackson Ave., Memphis, TN 38112-1597. Acceptance shall be made at destination. The provisions at FAR52.212-2, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items applies. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1: Paragraph (d), product samples -- delete in its entirety. Paragraph (g) Contract award (not applicable to invitation for bids) -- delete in its entirety, and substitute "Award. The Government plans to award a single contract resulting from this solicitation." Offerors are required to complete and include a copy of the following provisions with their proposals: (1) FAR 52.212-3, Offerors Representation and Certifications -- commercial items; (2) DFARS 252.212-7000 Offeror Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Items; and (3) DFARS 252.225-7000, Buy American Act and Balance of payments Program Certificate.
