This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued Request for Quotation (RFQ No. 338807) The solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-06. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 3826 . The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basic to Malvern Instruments, Inc., to purchase [ (1) one Particles Size Analysis System, Model No. MSS0009-Mastersizer S Optical Bench]. This system includes a size range of 0.05-900 microns, Windows Software, DIF2012 QS Validated Dry Powder Feeder NAM2461, with Air Cell, DEC 200 MNZ MMX Technology Pentium, (2) Computer Malvern Mastersizer Windows based Application Software Package, Remote Diagnostic Option with HP Deskjet 820CSl Printer. The system also uses the full Mie theory as standard for measuring particle size. This system must also include start-up and training. Other items to be purchase include one each of the following: VAC 001, Nilfisk Vacuum collection system., and one QSSP2010, On-Site IQ/OQ test using NIST traceable standards.
