Q -- PSYCHIATRY SERVICES SOL RFP 679-005-99(WG) DUE 102098 POC Wanda Goolsby, (205) 933-4492 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Birmingham, AL requires a contractor to provide psychiatry services to the Mental Health Service Line, Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 3701 Loop Road East, Tuscaloosa, AL, 8 hours a day, 5 days per week and provide a psychiatrist on call (POD) coverage (weekends, holidays, and evening hours in rotation with other psychiatrists assigned to the Mental Health Service Line. Psychiatrist duties shall include but not be limited to the following: Evaluation and treatment of veterans, supervision and monitoring of mental health staff, meeting with treatment teams, care of both acute and chronic inpatients as well as outpatients, consultations to other medical service providers, attending meetings, attending meetings assessment, evaluation and treatment of patients who are unassigned walk-ins to the urgent care area. This procurement will be negotiated with evaluation factors as follows: 1) Past performance; 2) Quality of Service; 3) Price and will be scored in descending order, with price being slightly less important than the total of Past Performance and Quality of Service.
