THE SECOND PHASE WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE ON CD ROM TO THE SHORTLISTED FIRST PHASE RESPONDENTS. Description of Work: The project is a two phase Request for Proposals (RFP) for the design and construction of a new approximately 90,200 SF Depot Plant Services Facility. The new facility will consist of a concrete foundation and slab system, steel framing, masonry walls, and standing seam metal roofing. Associated site improvements include materials storage area(s), all utilities and services, pavements, and landscaping. Part of the project included rehabilitation of a large diameter storm sewer line and appurtenances on the project site. After completion and occupancy of the new facility, offsite demolition of several old, mostly frame construction, buildings totaling approximately 92,000 SF will be accomplished. Asbestos and lead-based paint removal is anticipated. The new facility will consolidate repair and maintenance of industrial equipment and plant distribution systems, equipment and facility engineering support, and control and distribution of tools, materials and supplies to support depot maintenance of Base aircraft, avionics, electronic warfare systems, and other functions of the Technology and Industrial Support Directorate. A small portion of the facility is administrative space. Options under consideration at this time will be re-evaluated upon completion of the RFP solicitation preparation and prior to the Requests for Technical and Priced Proposals (Phase Two) being issued. Presently, the options being considered, in no special order, are: (a) rack storage, (b) wash rack, (c) paint booth, and (d) enclosed exterior storage facilities. Estimated cost range of project is from $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. Network Analysis System will be required in Phase Two. All requests for solicitations must be made in writing and receivedno later than 09/21/98. A limited number of solicitations will be prepared and issued on a first come/first served basis.
