ADAL Missile Maintenance Facility, Vandenberg AFB, California. This proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business. JOB DESCRIPTION. This project provides for the addition/alteration to an existing Missile Maintenance Facility (b/6601), at Vandenberg AFB, California. The facility needs to be upgraded to meet current space conditioning, life safety and hazardous material abatement requirements. Additional spaces shall include: Admin/Classrooms; Warehouse, Proof Load Testing and Vault storage. The additions shall include: New concrete slabs; Concrete masonry walls, Steel frame upper floors and roof. Additions shall also include: New HVAC system; Fire protection, Communications pre-wiring, Utilities connections, Site work; Landscaping and paving. Altered spaces shall be for Missile Service Shop, Tech Training Lab/Shop; and General building demolition. The alterations shall include: Waterproofing; Insulation upgrade; Fire Protection Upgrade, Surface Material Remodeling; Utility Upgrade; COMM/LAN Upgrade, Seismic Standards Upgrade and Asbestos Abatement. SIC CODE. This procurement will be conducted under SIC code: 1542. The size standard for this SIC code is: $17,000,000.00. DESIGN/BUILD. This is a design/build project; the offeror chosen will complete the design and construct the facility. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The acquisition method is negotiated procurement. A technical and cost proposal will be required. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of firm that represents the best value to the Government. This project will provide plans and specifications using CD-ROM only. Hard copies of the plans and specifications will not be available. The cost of the CD-ROM is $25.00. Orders received beyond this date will not be honored. CD-ROMs will be mailed out on or about October 1, 1998.
