This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number is DADA09-98-Q-0697 and is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05. This requirement is restricted 100% to small business. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 3841 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The government intends to award a contract for the following name brand: Lightcycler w/optional laptop computer manufactured by Idaho Technology, PO Box 50819, Idaho Falls, Idaho, 83405, or EQUAL. (1) LC32 Lightcycler w/start-up Kit Optimizer Kit, includes laptop computer and software package with standard commercial warranty on parts and labor. All products offered other than that specifically referenced by brand name will be required to meet the needs of the Government in essentially the same manner as the brand name product.
