The CV5000 covers slip up to 500 microscope slides per hours with 50 or 60 mm. The Automated Cover Slipping Machine must be able to accept racks from a Sakura Fin-Tek automated stainer and will perform the time consuming task of cover slipping slides in our histology laboratory in conjunction with immunohistochemistry experiments and additional diagnostic cases. CDC intends to purchase this equipment on sole source basis from the Vashaw Scientific Corporation, 3100 Medlock Bridge Road, Suite 420, Norcross, GA 30071. Vendors who can offer equivalent systems at a comparable price, with the capability of working with the existing equipment specified can identify their interests in providing said system, submitting pricing data, an accurate description of the equipment offered, and make and model number of the system being offered . Since no solicitation package exists, requests for such documents without accompanying information to establish the vendor s capability of meeting the Government s needs will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will not be made on the basis of responses to this synopsis. If no feasible responses are received by the close of business 15 days from the date this notice appears in the CBD, a procurement will be named with the above-named source.
