Center, Butner, North Carolina has a requirement for ADP cable and
connectors. This is a combined synopsis/request for quotation for
commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart
12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this
notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations
are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This
solicitation, RFQ453-0001, is issued as a Request for Quotations. This
solicitation is a 100% set-aside for small business, with a Standard
Industrial Classification [sic] of 5045. The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through
Federal Acquisition Circular 97-07. Line item 001 -- IBM PC adapter
card 8ft DB9M to DATCN (Belkin -- A2D241-08) or equal quantity=1,000
each; Line item 002 -- Cables to go TR STP Hub to Patch Panel Cable
(Belkin A2D278-08) or equal -- quantity=1,000 each; Line item 003 --
IBM Type 1 HepmaphCable Connector (1-554000) or equal -- quantity=2,000
each; Line item 004 -- Synergy fiber two strand patch cables ST
Connectors -- 8ft length (Belkin AF2F20200-08) or equal -- quantity=50
each; Line item 005 -- 32 Port Data Connect Patch Panel IBM Type 1
(ABL-1024) or equal -- quantity=50 each. Delivery is FOB destination to
Federal Medical Center, Old Highway 75, Butner, North Carolina 27509.
Delivery is required on or about October 30, 1998. Any
interested/qualified source who can provide the required equipment must
respond by 3:00 PM on September 21, 1998. All such responses will be
evaluated in order to determine the ability to meet the requirement.
The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation
to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation
will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors
considered. The offerors shall identify where the offered item meets or
does not meet each of the Government functional and performance minimum
specifications listed herein. Responses shall include literature,
brochures, and other such information corresponding to the required
items which demonstrate the capabilities of the offeror's equipment.
The following FAR clauses and provisions apply: FAR 52.232-18,
Availability of Funds; FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror's --
Commercial Items; paragraph (h) multiple awards, is not applicable to
this requirement: FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and
Certifications -- Commercial Items, shall be completed and submitted
with proposals; FAR Clause 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions --
Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and conditions required to

following clauses are hereby incorporated by reference in paragraph
