Combat Tactical Flashlight. 2. Description: The flashlight must be able
to illuminate adversaries utilizing the Rogers shooting techniques,
while engaging an adversary. The overall length cannot exceed 6.9
inches. The maximum weight is not to exceed 7.5 ounces. The light when
activated must produce a minimum of 50 lumens of light. To provide
enough light to identify any weapon or threat at distances of 15 yards
minimum. The beam of light when activated is to be pre-focused and
bonded in its own reflector so that it stays perfectly focused. A
momentary button cap switch capable of activating the flashlight must
be located on the end of the flashlight that is located in the palm of
the hand when utilizing the Rogers shooting method. The momentary
button cap switch when activated with any amount of pressure applied by
an officer under stree, must deactivate on its own when dropped or the
pressure is released. The flashlight must also have a method to
activate lthe flashlight in a constant on position that is separate
from the momentary switch cap. Flashlight must be powered by a nicad
battery module and have the capability of being switched to a lithium
battery power. Flashlight must have a neoprene grip ring approximately
2 1/2 inches from the end of the momentary switch cap to enable the
user to employ the Rogers shooting method. The flashlight must include
an AC/DC rapid charger that will not imprint a memory on the nicad
battery cell and charge the battery cell quickly by either the AC or DC
mode. The flashlight must come equipped with a plastic holder which
will accommodate and secure the flashlight regardless if the bezel is
placed in the holder first or it is inserted with the momentary switch
cap end. The holder must be one (1) piece, which will require a belt
to be placed through a loop on the holder. 3. The specifications of
this type flashlight are required to meet our minimum needs and our
objectives of being able the employ the Rogers Shooting method with a
two handed grip, allowing the officer to load, reload and manipulate
the slide of their pistol while handling the flashlight. Posted
