This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 4TRF-98-JD-004 and is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 06. This requirement is a small business set-aside. SIC 7379, Computer Related Services Not Elsewhere Classified, size standard $18.0 million. The Winn Army Community Hospital, Ft. Stewart, GA, will be migrating to a Microsoft Windows NT networking environment and MS Exchange e-mail system in the fall of 1998. Part of this migration involves system administration and end-user training. The contractor shall provide training to systems administrators in NT administration and Exchange administration. The contractor also shall provide end-user training for the Exchange e-mail portion of Outlook. The contractor shall provide Outlook training in all areas of Outlook. After each class, the contractor will remain on-site for one-half hour to provide additional support. For NT Administration Training, provide one 5-day course, including system training materials. Class size is 4 students. Also include pricing for class size of 1 student. For MS Exchange Administration Training, provide one 5-day course, including system training materials. Class size is 4 students. Also include pricing for class size of 1 student. For MS Exchange End-User Training, provide ten 2.5-hour hands-on sessions, including training manuals. Class size is 10 students. Three sessions per day will be conducted, for a total of thirty students trained per day. Sessions will be conducted for 10 days. For Outlook Training -- All Areas, provide ten one-half day hands-on sessions, including training manuals). Class size is 10 students. One session per day will be conducted for 10 days. Contractor personnel will be experienced in conducting training in use of the software described herein. The Contractor shall provide monthly progress reports for the duration of the task. The report shall detail work done during the reporting period and work planned for the upcoming reporting period. The work will begin October 1, 1998, or date of award, whichever is later, and continue through September 30, 1999. The Government shall inspect services delivered on an ongoing basis. Services that are not acceptable will be identified to the contractor. The contractor shall have three work days to respond, either providing evidence that the problem or issue has been resolved, or proposing a plan for resolution discussion with the technical point of contact or contracting officer. Work will be performed at Winn Army Community Hospital, Ft. Stewart, Georgia.
