REQUIREMENT The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC)
requires the facilities and services of a qualified hotel to provide
guest rooms, meeting rooms and related services for the Capital Markets
Meeting. OCC anticipates holding the Meeting either the week of
February 1-5, 1999 or the week of February 8-12, 1999 and is
particularly interested in the following cities: Denver, CO; Salt Lake
City, UT; Washington, DC metropolitan area; Baltimore, MD; Atlanta,
GA; Houston, TX; Tampa, FL; or St. Louis, MO. There will be
approximately 150 attendees for the five day meeting. The estimated
maximum number of sleeping rooms is 140 for each of five nights. The
general session will be for approximately 150 schoolroom style; the
estimated maximum of four concurrent sessions will be for about 40 each
schoolroom style. The food functions include one reception, several
continental breakfasts, and numerous coffee breaks. MANDATORY
REQUIREMENTS The hotel must be: 1) compliant with the Hotel and Motel
Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391)
and have a FEMA certification number; 2) compliant with the Americans
with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3)
have one of the following quality ratings: First class or higher per
the Official Hotel Guide; two stars or higher per the Mobil Travel
Guide; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher per the
OAG Business Travel Planner. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION
The OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation on or about September 10,
1998. The solicitation document will contain the details of the
Meeting, the instructions for submitting a proposal, and how the
