58 -- TELECOMMUNICATIONS MATERIALS/CABLE SOL 9801.142b DUE 092498 POC POC -- Tammie Green, Contract Specialist (ph: 202/260-4623; fx: 202/401-1628) DynCorp Information and Engineering Technology (DynCorp), in support of its on-site telecommunications CPAF contract (68-W2-0013) with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has a requirement for telecommunications materials for use in the EPA New Headquarters Development Project. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation document will not be issued. Solicitation #9801.142b is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. This procurement is being solicited on an unrestricted basis. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Requirement is for the following Items: Item 0001 -- Cat 3, 200 Pair, CMR Cable, reel length of 1,000 feet, equivalent to Prestolite Wire PN: DCC24DO-GY02, Qty 5,000 feet; Item 0002 -- Plenum rated innerduct w/tape, 1.5" diameter, orange=color, reel length of 1,000 or 1,200 feet, equivalent to Carlon PN: CH4X1C, Qty 7,000 feet; Item 0003 -- Plenum rated Fiber Optic Cable, Composite, tight buffered, 12 strand MM/12 strand SM, capable of supporting Gigabite Ethernet and other high speed applications, reel length of 1,000 feet, equivalent to Berk-tek PDP12B024-012B3510/55-012AB1010, Qty 12,000 feet. PACKING SLIP: Shipments shall include a packing slip stating the purchase order number, item number, date and quantity shipped. DELIVERY TIME: Delivery is required within 30 days from the date of award. Offers that propose delivery that will not clearly fall within the applicable required delivery period specified above will be considered nonresponsive and rejected. DELIVERY LOCATION: will be furnished upon award to Washington, DC destination. SHIPPING: FOB Destination -- inside delivery. The contractor shall pay and bear all charges to the specified point of delivery. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination.
