The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a contract modification to the AIM-9X Missile System EM&D contract N00019-97-C-0027 to procure the development, coordination, and execution of an AIM-9X Modeling and Simulation Master Plan. This effort will include the development of a simulation Verification, Validation and Accreditation Plan that will provide an integrating structure for all AIM-9X M&S VV&A activities. The M&S Plan will describe how the modeling and simulation efforts tie together and identify areas for future development; describe the roles and responsibilities, establish configuration management of simulations, data, and models, and coordinate simulation verification and validation planning for the suite of tools used to evaluate the AIM-9X missile system performance.
